Name: Katherine Whittington

Position: Parts Specialist, Parts Engineering group (5141).

Background: Kathy joined EPE in August 2007, after a 15 year hiatus from Engineering. She had previously worked in Radiation Test Engineering at Hughes Aircraft Company. But an interest in Aviation led to a 15 year career as a pilot, mostly in Alaska.
 
She is an Airline Transport Pilot with an abundance of experience as an Instructor Pilot & Check Airman in a variety of aircraft, from single engine Cessnas and light twins, to high performance twin turboprops and jets. She also served as Chief Pilot for a MedEvac company in Anchorage.
 
Now she has returned to her roots in Physics (UCB Class of ’90), as a Parts Specialist.
