![]() Name:Mark White Position: Strategic Initiatives Manager, Member of the Technical Staff - Office 514 +Strategic Initiatives & Research Opportunities Page Mark is on the technical staff of Office 514 and currently serves as the Strategic Initiatives Manager for the Section, responsible for the operations management of research and infrastructure development activities. He joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2000 as a Senior Member of the Parts Engineering Group in the Electronic Parts Engineering Office. Prior to JPL, Mark was with Lockheed Martin/Martin Marietta. Mark has over 20 years of engineering and mission assurance experience on aerospace/high reliability projects in EEE Parts, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering and Mission Assurance related to avionics/electrical sub-systems (C&DH, PDU, G&NC, Telecom, etc.). He is experienced in NASA, DOD and classified government programs and contracts from project concept through on-orbit mission support. He has held a variety of positions over the years, including Principal Investigator, Project Element Manager, Contract Technical Manager, Parts Engineering Specialist and Program Parts Manager; and has participated in numerous Tiger Team failure investigations, design/technical team reviews, MA review boards and readiness reviews. His current research interests include advanced studies in microelectronics/device reliability and scaling effects.
