Name: Rick Harris

Position: Senior Engineer, Radiation Effiects (5144)

Background: Rick has over 25 years of industrial research and development experience in solid state physics and materials science, with an emphasis on semiconductor and electronic materials. He has a PhD in Physics from Lehigh University and most recently has worked at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Ohio. He did extensive work on the JIMO Project at Glenn Research Center, determining how power semiconductors are affected by displacement damage.  He also has experience with the physics and manufacturing technology of microelectromechanical devices (MEMS), as well as on terrestrial photovoltaic materials. He is well published and has been credited with a number of patents.
