Overview

The Parts Acquisition Group (PAG) coordinates EEE (Electronic, Electrical, Electromechanical) parts procurement and supply chain lifecycle management by maintaining part inventories and fulfilling kitting needs. To fulfill the Project’s parts requirements, the PAG reviews available existing inventory or initiates the procurement cycle for any part shortages. The PAG ensures parts meet the technical screening requirements defined by the Part or Radiation Specialist.

Provide EEE (Electronic, Electrical, Electromechanical) parts supply chain lifecycle management for JPL projects and instruments, while also providing documentation and tracking for all EEE Flight parts. Provide projects with electronic parts data and statuses for Flight and EM (Engineering Model) parts. Provide an environmentally-controlled facility for storage of all parts and delivery of parts to customers with appropriate pedigree.

Services and Group Capabilities

  • Support JPL projects and instruments in component supply chain lifecycle from procurement to kitting to fabrication
  • Full procurement services including buying, tracking, and kitting
  • Management of BOM’s (Bill of Materials)
  • Management for over $14 million worth of EEE Residual parts available to projects free of charge and immediate delivery
  • Coordination of parts upscreening to meet project part requirements
  • Provide status reports of procurement and upscreening
  • Facilitate parts through QA (Quality Assurance) inspections
  • Kitting and delivery of parts to customers for Flight and EM builds with full traceability
  • Stock inventory of popular microcircuits with Common EEE Parts stock available to all projects for immediate delivery
  • Storage keeping for complete traceability of documentation for EM and Flight EEE parts
  • Environmentally-controlled storage for all EEE parts including moisture-sensitive and ESD-(Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive parts
